Listen now
Description
Number one thing anyone who wants to embark their fitness journey is — when picking the protocol/diet that you are following is sustainable. Meaning, is it something that is lifestyle changing and NOT just a one-time thing. Can you see yourself doing this daily until next year? In the next 3 years? If not please ditch it! Don’t get me wrong certain lifestyle change can be hard as well but you need to know, crash diets have its place. Certain people need to fit in certain size or certain event can use these methods but you will have to do it right. Check out Lyle McDonald’s book called Rapid Fat Loss Handbook to do a crash diet right. Crash diets are also for people that needed a jump start on a diet, as a lot of people don’t understand why they lose weight very quickly in the beginning and then week by week their weight seems to only drop 1 to 3 pounds a week and they get discouraged. When you get smaller you have less weight to lose so your body will fight you to keep the weight on. 1-3 pounds is actually the normal average, of course if you are heavier to begin with you will expect more to drop but once you get lighter, weight loss rate will slow as well and it is normal! As long as your losing weight on whatever protocol that you are using, don’t change a thing. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken.
