The series was recorded at The Politics of Listening 2018 conference at the University of New South Wales. This interdisciplinary conference brought together scholars, artist-researchers and cultural practitioners from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, South Africa and beyond whose work engages with listening in various ways: as a political practice; as a critical frame; as an alternative politics; as a contribution to justice and/or as an ethics of relation. It was the first international academic conference on critical studies of listening.
