“Long time listener. Contrary to their assertions, the Martins (and Prysner when he joins in) present absolutely nothing unique in their critique on media. It’s nothing more than the flip-side of a right partisan outlet. They absolutely do not level the same degree of analysis and criticism toward the center or the left (and yes, both deserve it) that they do the right. The same way that right partisans behave when presenting their content. They spin left-biased vitriol and hate toward those who hold different viewpoints than their own. But with sanctimonious smug, and heads so far up their own asses, they are completely blind to their hypocrisy. They are woefully uninformed on many of the topics they discuss. So unless you want an amateur and surface-level summary/analysis on politics and history from Abby or a seemingly very informed review of some extremely specific (and often fringe) topics from Robbie (along with some of the same surface level take as his sister on most other topics), I suggest looking elsewhere for the “independent” and “contrarian” take on topics they purport to provide. Something seems to have “wrecked their brains” (sound familiar guys?) over the last few years along with all of the other people they accuse of experiencing the same. All of this coming from someone whose political and social views coincide very strongly with those of the hosts. A little self-analysis and self-critique would go a long way on their part…
And it continues on several months after writing the above. I can’t recall the last time I heard them level even an ounce of criticism or critique toward the Democratic establishment (who continue the same imperial policies as their ideological opponents). Likewise with the Empire Files - not getting any updates on Biden’s kill count like you did with Trump’s, are you? Definitely not since Prysner got a little roughed up for protesting Bush (haven’t seen him protest Democratic war-mongers like that have you?). How’s that 501c status treating you guys? ;o)
You’re really not getting any unique perspective listening here - just more mainstream Democrat saber rattling under the cloak of independent leftism. If you listen in, do so with a very critical ear.”
