“I want to say first that I love Abide, and it’s helped me tremendously to grow my faith, to sleep, to increase compassion, and more. The other Abide prayer and meditation app I’ve been listening too, that is. Today I was listening to the one Bye Bye Insecurities and the narrator tells us to meditate on the scripture, then a loud ad jolted me out of my thoughts! It was counterproductive to say the least. The meditation was wonderful, the ad, not so much. I’m aware you have an app which, for a paid subscription, would be ad free. But I’m on Apple Podcasts, listening to a meditation, and I just can’t see how this would be relaxing for anyone. The jolting political ad at the start of the meditation was unpleasant, whichever side one leans politically, but I could understand ads at the start. You have expenses and fellow Christian employees to pay. In the middle was just no good for meditation. I’ll check it out again in the future in case this was a fluke but I wanted to share my thoughts.”
