Description
Meg Talks with multi talented musician, actor, model and poet Abena Essah @abena_essah_. This conversation had me caught up in the creative vibes because Abena's art tells a story which relates to many of us ....the duality of our experience sitting at the intersections of queerness, ethnic heritage and growing up in London whilst trying to persue our dreams.  Abena Essah is highly successful having collabed with highly established brands; Vogue, The BBC, The Roundhouse, The Barbican etc. What I love about Abena is their track record for success  on their terms , balanced with having that homie from next door vibe. We talk up the tings to uncover the artist behind the art aswell as their defining moments of growth.  Abena and I have served up something very unique, something that you definitely haven't seen before on the pod so tune in and do enjooyyment x. It's only right that I loudly celebrate  some of Abena's contributions and accolades  to date: -Vogue Runway: Marques Almeida AW20 -A BBC Words First finalist - A Barbican Young Poet - A Roundhouse Resident Artist  - Premiered theatre production, Sankofa: Before The Whitewash on June 15th 2022. - A Debut EP soon to drop Its Pride month people and I have been coming correct with the guests and conversations so expect good tings and turn on your notifications from now. Love you guys x
