Kieran is a professional dancer who has travelled the world with Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company. I interviewed him to learn of his journey from a Girvan Academy pupil to travelling the world with his partner. Throughout the interview his passion and energy for dance shines though. You learn how he continuously worked without needing an extra job to support him which is sometimes essential for new dancers. One of his best pieces of advice - “Try everything because you are never going to know otherwise” is demonstrated with stories of work experience weeks and touring with dance companies. His first idea of a career may surprise you and his journey is not what anyone would have expected.
