The MJ Movement is facing an intriguing crisis in the coming years as more and more of our pioneering rabbis are getting older and within the next 10-15 years an overwhelming number of MJ congregations may be without a rabbi due to a current lack of up and coming rabbis. As the old addage goes, "failure to plan is planning to fail..." It is time for intentionality in raising up a new generation of MJ rabbis and for developing successful succession plans instead of holding tight to what are likely contingency plans at best...
