E16. John Boyne talks about Ireland, gay marriage, and epic novels.
Description
We caught up with John to talk about his prize-winning novel The Heart’s Invisible Furies, an epic book which follows the life of a gay man living in Ireland. The book takes us from the 1940s up until the (near) present, and tracks the way that the writer’s home country has changed in those years.
