“I’m sad that this email isn’t more positive, but I have to tell you that I’m super disappointed that your podcast requires an Explicit rating. “The Middle” was such an endearing show to our family and honestly, a gift, because it allowed me and my children and husband to enjoy something TOGETHER, when typically the six of us have such varying tastes in entertainment. Truly, it was a bonding experience. When I heard there was a podcast, I was so excited that I immediately shared it with my family. Now I feel I have to retract my invitation for them to hear it because listening to the F word is something our family finds very distasteful and dispiriting.
If future episodes refrain from using language like that, we would love to give the podcast another try because The Middle was such a great TV series in our lives, and it was for families! So the podcast should be, too. In a world where it can be so hard to connect to your teenage children, listening to the podcast, recapping episodes that were favorite childhood memories would be another magical bonding opportunity that we would relish. I hope you will take this into consideration.
