Today’s episode of Military Birth Talk features Navy spouse Alison. Alison shares her first pregnancy and loss (2:34), her subsequent pregnancy and delivery of her son at a civilian hospital which concluded with a weeklong NICU stay due to a blood type incompatibility (4:57), her experience navigating several losses following the birth of her son (24:08), and then her most recent pregnancy and birth of her son, at a Military Treatment Facility in Japan; this baby also had a weeklong NICU stay, this time at the host-nation hospital (27:36). Toward the end of the episode we talk a little more about their experience navigating fertility challenges within the military lifestyle.
