“Love the format of the podcast. It feels like you’re having a conversation with smart, level-headed fans at a tailgate — so it’s true to its name. Ryan, JP, and Steve all bring great things to the table, and the occasional guests hold their own quite well. In addition, JP’s mini pods are great little midweek nuggets of cool Brewers/baseball info that I like to listen to on my way to class or while cooking.
I gotta be honest JP, the only thing that gets on my nerves about the pod is that in my opinion, you can often be a little over-the-top condescending towards Ryan. The listeners get it: Ryan’s a prospect-hugger, and his opinions can change quickly. He’s a fan, just like all of us. Maybe it’s because listeners can’t actually see you guys talking, but the arguments frequently come across as you beating him over the head with snark and condescension. I love that you guys challenge each other’s arguments, but that in particular gets tiresome.
Just a quick thought from someone who’s listened from the start of the podcast and loves what you guys do. Thank you for bringing smart Brewers audio content to people like me who live in the MLB blackout hell that is Iowa! This podcast has made me a better, smarter fan.”
