Symera Jackson is the 14-year-old rising star of the highly anticipated Netflix series “Team Kaylie.” The series follows a self-obsessed celebrity, played by Bryana Salaz, who is forced out of her comfort zone due to a community service order; she must then lead a wilderness club at an inner-city school. Symera can be seen playing ‘Jackie,’ a self-described “good girl” who doesn’t like to break any rules; a character that is not unlike Symera herself. Symera was also in the final scene in the chilling Sandy Hook Promise PSA that exclusively premiered on The TODAY show on 9/18/19, and is taking over the internet. Symera has already tallied up quite the impressive resume at such a young age. She is credited in multiple commercials alongside powerhouse names, such as Kristen Bell, Wayne Brady and Jim Carson. She made her transition to television with her first co-starring role on ABC’s “Alex Inc.” alongside Zach Braff. She began to participate in theater, eventually starring in “Wizard of Oz” and “Bye Bye Birdie” between 11 and 12 years old. She hopes to use her growing platform to voice her concerns about the state of marine life and our oceans.
