“I just started listening starting with season 1. It’s very compelling. I have a personal connection to Frank Cullota and the Hole in the Wall gang. My grandfather was one of Larry Neumann’s first victims in Chicago in 1956. John Herman Keller, 43, was selling newspapers outside a tavern where Larry shot 2 people and then my grandfather. It all happened way before I was born but I didn’t find out about any of it until about 15 years ago. My dad was raised by his mom after his dad abandoned them so he never spoke about him at all. Being murdered doesn’t automatically make you a good person but I would’ve liked to have met him and heard his side. Someone kills 3 people and only serves 11 years in prison is a travesty. Especially in this case since he went on to kill many more.”
