inexplicably fun for people that shouldn’t even like it
Me and my boyfriend really enjoy this podcast, basically fell in love with it when after I blind downloaded it for a road trip. We’re a very childless queer couple in our early 20s from Australia, but Allison and Dan are always fun and entertaining. I feel stupidly invested in their lives, especially Allison’s move and attempts to find friends for her kid and Dan’s struggles with yelling. Dan and Allison often bicker, which is fitting, but you feel a lot of warmth and mutual affection so it’s never bitter or uncomfortable to listen to. The only downside is the saccharine theme music in an otherwise very un-saccaharine podcast. But my boyfriend doesn’t even notice the theme so I may have a weird sensitivity. Very recommended to basically anyone.
