We want to credit @trtworld for its article "What's it's like to be a parent in Gaza" that informs today’s episode. This is an older article from late October 2023, but it's awful how 90 days seems ages ago when we are talking about tens of thousands of unalived humans. It's critical to share the stories of 🍉's when many in the world, and in our own country, still think it's okay to dehumanize people. This is the way they've been able to justify politicizing "ceasefire" when as moms, we know it's the only way to keep ALL our children safe.
This month's series is Muslim Moms in the Media, discussing our hope that the misinformation and disinformation campaigns that assume we are all too stupid to look things up are seeing their days numbered. May it be so Allahum ameen. Criticism is not racism when we question actions, not beliefs. Join us this month as we follow the narrative and fact finding changes that have come with the democratization of information, but how to do it responsibly, and humanely. The time to humanize Black and Brown bodies was yesterday, but we know we can catch up God willing.
Tune in at 6pm EST on Apple podcasts, Stitcher, Googleplay, Amazon Music, or head to our website landing page using the link in our bio. And share this episode with anyone who doubts the humanity of anyone for even a second.
