“When I started bingeing Supernatural as a 30-something year old, I kept it to myself. I told myself it was the mindless, hunk-filled entertainment my brain needed in between working full-time and studying for my MBA at Smamford. It would be my guilty, secret pleasure. And then I found Monster of the Week. This podcast made me feel less like a whole new level of freak and made me come to terms with my love and appreciation for this show. Chris and Jeremy are funny and real about this less than perfect but always entertaining show we all love. I am also always amazed by how thoughtful and dare I say “woke” these two dudes are about most topics - dealing honestly and respectfully with things the show hasn’t always, including its treatment of women and lack of representation. Never mind the full story arc they go on in coming to terms with the existence of Destiel. I died. And then got raised from perdition. So, if you’ve ever found yourself curious about Supernatural but felt like you needed someone to stand uncomfortably close to you through 14+ seasons of cray, let Monster of the Week be your guide. Come for the hunks, stay for the hour long outtakes about a video game you’ve never heard of and will likely never play. A+ would listen again.”
