Today I'm talking with Ayaz Saboor, a former solicitor who experienced a racist comment on his first day of university studying law. He subsequently went to the police station to give his witness statement. The case was dropped.
I was curious to know whether this set the tone for the rest of his career in law. I asked Ayaz about his experiences in law and whether his race or background became barriers for him throughout his career.
Ayaz talks about what he does now which is coaching aspiring lawyers. He also supports equality, diversity and inclusion in the legal industry.
