"I don't know what that was. It was this narrow tunnel vision. I saw it slip away there for a second. It was this decision in my entire body that was like, 'No. I am going to take this spot.' It felt like something had taken over me." This week Natosha Rogers of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project joins More Than Running to break down her third place finish at the USATF USA 10,000m Championship this past weekend at the Prefontaine Classic. Natosha outkicked Emily Infled narrowly 31:29.80 to 31:30.04 to qualify for the World Athletics Championship in Eugene, Oregon, which will be held in July. Natosha’s running story dates back to 2012 when she placed second at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 10,000m but was unable to be on the team due not having the qualifying standard. For a decade, Natosha has worked her way back – including taking time away from the sport – to make peace with Hayward Field and the 10,000 meters.
