“It’s just not very fun listening to people talk about why each episode of “Daria” wasn’t completely perfect. I can appreciate acknowledging that certain jokes on the show wouldn’t work today, but these two put down episodes for nitpicky reasons, like not making its point strongly enough.
Also, their critiques aren’t consistent… one minute, they’re talking about how the show is fat-shamey; the next minute, they’re cracking up over Jane’s line about a fat woman not having any family because she ate them. I think Nissa even said that was the best line of the episode.”
