In this episode of the the Mormon Channel's Q&A, we answer the question: What is the Holy Spirit of Promise and what is it's role in the gospel? Just as the Savior's many names individually indicate much about His nature and purpose, so too does the name of the Holy Ghost. The Comforter speaks of His ability to bless us when we are in need of emotional or spiritual comfort. The Spirit of Truth speaks to the Spirit's responsibility to teach and testify of truth. The effects of both of these examples can be felt by those touched by the influence of the Spirit and recipients of the Gift of the Holy Ghost alike.
