The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report shows prices rose 0.2% in September, which was more than the 0.1% Bloomberg consensus estimate. Year over year, prices rose 2.4% versus the 2.3% estimate. When stripping out the more volatile food and energy components, prices rose 0.3% month over month and 3.3% year over year, both higher than economists were expecting. Delta Air Lines (DAL) is out with its third quarter earnings, its profits of $1.50 per share an $14.59 billion in revenue falling short of Wall Street estimates. Delta CEO Ed Bastian cited the CrowdStrike (CRWD) IT outage that impacted global operations in an interview with Yahoo Finance. Tesla (TSLA) is set to kick off its Robotaxi Day event Thursday night, where CEO Elon Musk will divulge more about the EV maker's vision for an autonomous driving service.
