“Woooow, I always pushed off leaving a review because I assumed there already had to be a couple hundred. But not even ten? Mostly Lit crew, get on it! Remind people to leave reviews so I can see you on the front page of the podcast section one day!
I’m not really a “Monday sucks” person but I won’t say no to something that gets me a little bit more excited and this really is my Monday essential. You’d think a pod ep that’s an hour and a half would be too much, but it’s just enough. Though my reading habits are totally different, I veer toward non-fiction and have never gone through classics like they have (even American classics and I’m an American), I always feel like I get something out of the conversation. Total natural chemistry.
The space they’ve made is really precious to me, as a black person getting to hear other black people talk about reading from an entire range and also representing different ethnicities. It’s made me crave to know more about black people outside of the U.S. And I also relate to them being millennials like myself, it just feels so curated for me specifically lol.
They talk books, they talk philosophy, they talk twitter, they talk movies, they talk trash. Highbrow and lowbrow (on fleek). Been listening since 2016 and really is a treasure that shouldn’t be so hidden.
Wishing you much more success, puh-lease pimp yourselves out more! 📖 🔥”
