“Remember Siskell and Ebert? Movie Oubliette is JUST like that, only exclusively covering obscure old nerdy genre movie choices like Dragonslayer and The Last Starfighter.
Dan and Conrad are two savvy creatives who do composition and sound design, including sound effects, songs and homages to the scores of the conceptually shaky films they fondly skewer. They often have guests (in one case, Last Starfighter Lance Guest.) They give backhanded awards (most 80s moment, hair and costume), and decide if each film ought to be brought out into the light of day or forgotten completely.
So much more than the usual “two guys talking with minimal editing” fare. Something very special. Eminently bingeable.”
