Originally planned as one long movie but split in two for various reasons, Volume 2 stands apart from Volume 1 in so many ways. In Vol 1 Uma Thurman’s “The Bride” went on a stylized, gore filled killing spree, while here, her focus shifts from revenge to reuniting with her daughter. The body count in drastically lowered but the action set pieces are just as amazing. And speaking of Daryl Hannah – we learn how Elle Driver lost her eye, we get some great dialogue between her and Budd (Michael Madsen) and that fight scene… MTV movie award winner for Best Fight 2005 indeed!
