Unlike most critics, he is positive about movies and the film/tv world in general. When it comes to interviews he is well researched asks superb questions. Not only does he ask more serious questions to do with the plot of their latest release but also questions that make the interview fun and entertaining- not only for the listener but provides something different for the guest (who you can tell appreciates something a bit different after hours of being at a press junket!) You can hear his passion about movies through the way he speaks about movies. Never change Ali!”

“So glad he left the primary school - Empire and seems to have become an adult but rare for Radio 1 with the ability to Speak English reasonably well and without sounding like an American who has never been to school. Good reviews, funny and has a novelle approach to questioning. Pretty good.”

“It’s great. Ali gives his reviews but doesn’t pressure you into agreeing with him and is jovial enough when covering happy stuff, yet sincere when it’s a serious subject.
There also Ace, and his fantastic laugh. Not to say that he doesn’t bring anything to the table.
