“As an Egyptian-American mostly raised in the US I can’t express how much it means to me to be able to hear voices like this. I am not exaggerating when I say that I broke out into a huge smile when I heard the beginning of the first episode (I’m sure I looked like an idiot at work). Media like this gives me the opportunity to keep up with the modern progression of my culture through something other than my parents and in a way that’s accessible in the west.
