Description
At New Zealand Mountain Biking, we run epic mountain biking tours across the scenic North Island, New Zealand. We also help riders build confidence and skills in our MTB and eMTB private lessons on the legendary Rotorua trails. The best way that you can support this content is by booking a ride/lesson with us so that we can continue to just talk about mountain bikes! You can learn more about who we are below or visit our website to book your ride today! https://newzealandmountainbiking.com/ Follow NZMTB YouTube - @newzealandmountainbiking Instagram @newzealandmountainbiking In this episode, I chat with Tak Mutu who has been local to Rotorua his whole life and absolutely loves the place. We hear about how Rotorua landed Crankworx - one of the biggest Mountain Bike festivals in the world, what he has seen happen in Rotorua since we hosted a world cup downhill round, the birth of the mountain bike park at Skyline Rotorua, and his involvement in the mountain bike community! Here at NZMTB, we work with one of Tak's businesses, Mountain Bike Rotorua, for bike hire and shuttles in Rotorua. It has also been awesome to see MBR grow from a portercom and a container or two into what it is today with multiple sites, coffee, bike hire and shuttle services. Check out the Crankworx Rotorua website here - Buy some tickets and come and check out the world-class riding first hand!
