Tone Deaf comment made by Em Blatchford.
Morning, I am writing in regards to a comment that was made by Em Blatchford in regards to young Boys urinating in public. I am assuming she is NOT a mother of Boys! The comment was both patronizing and condescending to any Mother who is and has raised Boys (I am one of these Mothers). As a Mother of a three year old Boy I have been caught out on a few occasions that my Son has had to go. I do not encourage this at all and obviously use public toilets. I also have MS an invisible disability so I cannot just sprint like a marathon runner to get my Son to a pubic toilet if we are outdoors and there is a secluded area where my Son can urinate quickly supported by myself then this is the option I use for all of 60 seconds or less! As a qualified teacher and Mother who has had to deal with bigger issues than the one highlighted I found the comment alienating and sheer ignorant It also came across as sheer entitlement and tone deaf read your audience. Upon speaking to other Mothers they also agreed and found it laughable that this should affect her so much perhaps someone with a bit more Motherly and worldly experience should have been chosen to host the podcast. I chose to listen to this podcast off the back of the juggling act and loved listening to Leah Goulis on this platform. Sadly in todays society I think there is something lacking in a persons life if they feel they need to raise this on a public space and forum.

Love this, a lot of this content out there says it is no judgement but actually still is... these hosts are great and I love the hacks on Kidspot too

Heard your ad and thought this was a comedy show. But no…you’re actually really doing a podcast trying to celebrate being a bad parent! So sad what our world is coming to.
