Quite impressive
I am sincerely impressed not just by the teacher, who, in this difficult time with all the challenges facing our educators, still goes above and beyond to work on this passion project and attempt to make a difference in his community, but with the two students as well. These girls are sincerely impressive and their work ethic is incredible. Being able to juggle everything that high school throws at them with keeping their grades up, playing on the ball team and even being involved in church activities and STILL coming in early and doing research in their “spare time” working on solving a 20+ year old murder case is just next level. They are also both so well-spoken and intelligent. It is rare to hear young people able to speak so eloquently and passionately about anything, yet these girls are able to do so quite easily, it seems. They both appear to be so humble, kind, respectful of one another and eager to make a difference in the lives of the families of the unidentified women. They speak of them only with dignity and kindness, never making any disparaging remarks or comments about the life choices that were made; never victim blaming. Wanting only to find justice for these women and the friends and family left behind and wondering for years what might have become of their loved ones.

More reviews of Murder 101
In the episode, “With a Little Help From My Friends”, the dry narration of the two girls reading the victim descriptions totally lost my interest. I stopped listening to the series at that point.

Amazing high school teacher who has a great idea. There is only one episode so far but I can’t wait to hear more about how they solve this 50 year old cold case. A great way to get students involved with a possible interest in solving crimes in their future as a profession.

This is a cool story but the podcast feels like they had maybe 30 minutes of good material that they decided to pad out into several episodes. So you get a lot of repetitive storytelling with interviewees making the same points over and over again. It feels (ironically) like a high school kid...Read full review »
