Overproduced and tasteless.
I knew this podcast was going to be bad the moment it opened with the dramatic music and deep-voiced male narration. As if the details of the cases aren’t shocking enough, this podcast feels the need to punctuate the story with LOUD SOUND EFFECTS and TENSE MUSIC. The final straw for me was the simulated sounds of women being strangled. Pretty disgusting and completely unnecessary. There are so many well researched crime podcasts out there, that don’t rely on cheap gimmicks and sensationalism. Those are interesting. This is just trashy.

Love this series! It's the audio pulled from the Reelz video series. I really hope they continue with more posts as I see the last one was 2 months ago :(Read full review »

I don’t need just audio of reenacted women crying in pain while being assaulted interspersed with the storytelling, thanks though. This is not for me and I am not sure who it is for. I finally found a true crime podcast with the right sort of blend of boring and tasteless to not subscribe to!
