This week Chanty's presents the story of Patsy Cline based on her biography Patsy Cline: Honky Tonk Angel by Ellis Nassour.
As a child, Patsy knew that she would grow up to be a famous singer. Patsy didn't wait for doors to open for her, she kicked them down and carved a path for herself. Patsy was ahead of the times in both her singing, musicianship and feminism. Patsy lead by example, showing other women in the industry what it meant to stand up for yourself.
Patsy was a generous and loyal friend as well as a loving mother. Her life was cut short in 1963 at the age of 30 when the plane she was flying on crashed on the way home from a benefit concert.
