“Looking for a good show with insightful commentary on musicals, you would think “MusicalSplaining” would be the one. Unfortunately this is anything but that. This is a compilation of highly subjective personal takes by people who do no research but what you could read from a Wikipedia page.
Utterly lacking in musical analysis, historical context, discussion of writers, production history, etc.
More aptly named “Off-the-cuff reviews of musicals by musical-haters”. This feels like the Ozzy Man Reviews equivalent of musicals, but less funny, misleadingly named and overall uninteresting.
Would advise skipping this show.”
