Entertaining
I feel like this podcast is especially enjoyable for people already familiar with Lindsay Ellis’ Youtube channel, but I honestly recommend it to anyone who could enjoy light-hearted banter about the weird world of musicals. The hosts have a great dynamic and I even got to learn a thing or two, although I wouldn’t say that the main goal of this podcast is to educate the listener.

If you’re a casual fan of musical theater or potentially hardcore fan, you probably won’t like this podcast. Lindsay Ellis is pretentious about musical theater in the way a lot of theater kids are which is fine, but it doesn’t make the podcast super enjoyable at times.

One episode in and my goodness, I could not be more excited for this podcast. So far this is at the high level of brilliance and hilarity that you’d expect from these hosts and having them in a long format is truly such a gift.

I didn’t realize how much I needed the satyrical dry tones of these two teetering between why musicals are beloved and also hot hot garbage. But also their ideas of Persian cucumbers in super markets. Please listen, and experience the hot takes
