“I like this podcast because I like Lindsey’s videos and I like hearing the reaction and thoughts of someone who is not familiar with them.
Yes, the “splaining” is less about the music and historical context of the topic musical (but if the hosts know it, they’ll talk about it). It’s more about what the musical’s appeal is to its audience.
I do wish they could go a little deeper(hence 4 stars), and maybe it will change as they find their rhythm or if they talk about musicals that require more context to understand, but I also find it quite enjoyable as is.”
