“Lindsay, you’re great, smart, love your whole thing. I think this podcast has the potential to be really fun, insightful and silly.
BUT... I hate to say it, your co-host doesn’t have the right energy for this kind of show. He’s too negative, or at least he comes across as he’s TRYING too hard to be negative.
He’s like performing a middle-aged straight dude trope of a guy who loves alt-rock and David Fincher and thinks anything else is trash. And that energy takes some of the fun out of the show.
Anyways! You should look at podcasts like Las Culturistas, who go on tangents about culture and enjoy nerding out on things they love and enjoy! ...even if said things are silly or tacky or campy.
This should be a podcast for people who love musicals, but can also poke fun and dissect them at the same time. Don’t know if the chemistry is there yet. Keep it up though! Again think your takes are so smart and love when you geek out about the things you love! ✌🏼”
