Good not Great
The host is pleasant and likable. This show is not so much practical like other podcasts, but more about the spirit of the Camino. And that’s where the problem comes in. In almost every episode, the guest is asked, “Are you spiritual?” And like clockwork, the guest responds, “I’m spiritual but not religious.” Or often, “I was raised Catholic but no longer practicing.” This call-response is so frequent as to become a show cliche. One guest even seemed to disrespect St. James. At least once I’d like to hear, “Yes, I am a practicing Catholic who walked the Camino to honor the faith and saints who made it.”

More reviews of My Camino - the podcast
Dan has a wonderful interview style, I like to listen while out walking and always feel like I’m listening in on his conversations while we walk down the trail together. Great insight on the Camino and life in general!

I started in St Jean Wales to Pamplona then with severe leg injuries I head off to Sierra, I met two “Camino” angles from Ireland...Read full review »
