Objectivity in the Media
I’ve been listening to podcasts daily for over a year now, and I can say that history lovers will love this podcast. Even if you aren’t a history lover, Bruce Carlson, podcast host of My History Can Beat Up Your Politics, is a history guru and loves discussing about current events in correlation with historical parallelism. In the particular show, Objectivity in the Media, which is an old achieved episode, he talks about the media of America at different times of our country, stating that newspapers were highly objective, and weren’t just propaganda papers as we might think today. As the podcast progresses, Carlson discusses the effects of media over the 20th century and gives his listeners a thought about how media might change over this century, given parallelism of American history. It’s given me an insight of media and how not much has really changed in media - it’s just a switch of medium. Just as a note, you can’t download this archieved episode for free, but Carlson has made the podcast archieves purchasable for listeners, and you get 40 hours of history you’re history class never probably took a reference to. It’s only $19.99, so why not?

I enjoy how it is very wide ranging in some topics and yet in others it goes into such detail as to make you feel truly informed on a topic as to want to...Read full review »
