“Aside from details, your story reads like mine. I also have a mother (and her entire enmeshed family) who is likely ASPD (my cousin had been formally diagnosed as such). They’ve gone after me, and I suffered a psychotic break whereas I’ve had zero mental health issues in the past. My life is in shambles, but I have a wonderful ex husband who is helping me cope (he saw the abuse firsthand and has saved my life by validating my perceptions of severe abuse, bullying, humiliation, etc). Hearing you is like listening to myself—sometimes word for word. Thank you for helping us all, because it’s tough for people to believe moms can go after their children to try and destroy them. There’s little compassion from most.”
