“Thank you Deon and team for your courage and persistence in getting this very critical podcast out. I have been following the issue with paedophilia and technology for years, more as a very concerned mom in the tech industry with two little daughters. Never has this issue hit so close to home. I feel everyone who works around children needs to listen to this. There needs to be more efficient background checks on all teachers ( spontaneous ones ), maybe even a centralised database. Most teachers are really amazing and actually deserve to be paid more and celebrated. It is a pity about those few who pray on our children. schools who put children first over their reputation, and who are vocal about dealing swiftly with any perpetrators need to be given a gold star and loads of media attention so that it becomes more beneficial to be known as a place where predators are rooted out quickly as opposed to a place who has a spotless record that covers things up.”
