Let’s make failure normal again :)
As someone who has failed beautifully at several things in life, I LOVE this new podcast. I just listened to the show where the natural interviewer Alice Draper interviews Geraldine DeRuiter and as an aspiring writer, this one was especially relevant. I related to the emotionality of writing a book, I related to the familial turmoil happening in her life at the same time, and I related to the sinking, defeating feeling of hearing hard things about oneself. “I don’t know why her husband loves her” made me cry while walking. Yet, she allows this vulnerability to shine through and come out on the other side. I can’t wait to listen to the next one!

Alice brings her audience a focus on rejection, a common human experience, with humor, introspection and awareness. As an executive coach I’ve really enjoyed the realness Alice and her guests offer and have found several great insights to reflect on myself and bring to my clients.

being reminded that rejection happens to every writer out there is so empowering because it teaches me that failure isn’t a setback, and success isn’t always linear. love exploring the different stories these guests have shared.
