“It is very rare that I bother to write a review; it is even rarer that a podcast makes me stop what I’m doing so I can concentrate better.
Michael Fenton Stevens is a seemingly expert interviewer, allowing his guest to develop their story at their own pace and then skilfully interjecting with his own reminisces. He is clearly someone who is not obsessed with the sound of his own voice and is genuinely interested in what the guest wants to put in the time capsule.
It is fascinating to hear such a different side to some of my favourite performers, Chris Addison’s fanboying over the National Opera and Rebecca Front discussing her transition to school give a deeper insight to the work they produce.
I am currently saving the Anthony Head one as he has been a long standing favourite of mine and I want to listen when I have no children about!”
