Ep 143. Cholesterol - Everything You Need to Know
Listen now
Description
What are the best foods to eat to lower cholesterol? A great listener question and a worthwhile topic to devote this episode to. We know that elevated cholesterol is very common. Almost 40% of the population in North America have fatty deposits in their arteries and high blood cholesterol. We also know that in just 6-12 weeks, a change in diet can improve cholesterol levels. Many people google 'what foods are high in cholesterol?', when they find out that they need to reduce their blood cholesterol. This isn't necessarily a helpful question to ask, as it can lead you down the wrong path, in terms of foods to include or limit. We discuss the different types of cholesterol in food and blood levels, plus, lifestyle factors to help, and of course, diet changes required to improve your blood cholesterol profile. Foods to add more of and foods to reduce are some themes we discuss. Tune in for this low down on cholesterol.  Also check out Episode 23 - Fat, Grease, and Oils https://youtu.be/otQdbY-s_vo Enjoying the show?
