Kanchan is an 8-9-year-old girl who is part of a family of highly educated people. Everyone in her family is interested in studies except Kanchan as her interest lies in music. During a singing competition Kanchan, along with another male student participant wins the trophy and also gets a standing ovation. Usually, Kanchan is always pulled up for not being good at studies she feels left out and let down by her brothers, sisters, and cousins. But now, after having won the trophy she is happy and everyone treats her with respect. During the Holi celebration in her neighborhood, Kanchan is appreciated and applauded by the invited Singer. Thus the whole neighborhood learns about Kanchan‘s singing talent.
