Thank you
Through books that I have read I have became fascinated by Great Britain when I was around 12 years old. Around that time I was also able to start discovering Britain. My mum took London which was also the most convenient place to fly to. Soon I discovered that true Britain lies outside of London. On my travels I have started discovering Britain by train. I wanted to see the countryside. That’s where I found what I was looking for. Around 2009 perhaps I first joined National Trust. I have been this “come and go” member since then. Not because I didn’t want to be a continuous member but because I live abroad and I have no way to direct debit my membership. Nevertheless since then I have made an effort to buy plane tickets every year, sometimes twice or three times a year to visit as many national trust places as I can. Today when I listen to national trust podcasts it brings me back to these magical feelings that I feel when I visit national trust is places. It’s like, I can sort of, be there every week, whereas normally I wouldn’t be able to. I simply wanted to say: thank you, for bringing the magic to me through the borders of the world.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to Alice share her story and inspire us to get growing, even in the simplest way. I’ll certainly be tuning in again.

I really enjoyed the podcast, I could really imagine the scenery, and I loved the presenters soothing voice, great description and little capers.
