“I’ve been binging this show for days on end after discovering it last week. The level and depth of the research is phenomenal. Their even-keeled well thought out approach to the cases is consistently engaging. The hosts have genuine chemistry that’s had me literally laughing out loud on numerous occasions.
The hosts are down to earth and their discussions and humor are gritty and honest. The conversations frequently veer off into tangents, many of them coarse and lewd but it’s all done clearly in good fun with no malice behind it. As a woman I think it’s both impressive and refreshing to listen to guys being normal guys while covering true crime and the unknown.
They’re not walking on eggshells or censoring their humor but it’s delightful not offensive. At the end of the day it’s clear they’re nice people who are empathetic to the victims they discuss and care deeply about the quality of their work. They are the antithesis of toxic masculinity. The show is a masterclass in balancing humor with tough often upsetting subject matter. 10/10”
