Dignified research
In the 60s and beyond, my great aunt was a founder of a well known charity that helped adoptive children and parents find each other. She received an MBE for her work and I’m certain that she would applaud both Sarah and Kirsty for their work in this investigation. She was always for united families and human rights for all. Interesting that one of the specialist interviewed in the podcast said that this is still happening now in the uplifting of children away from their birth parents instead of providing them the necessary support to assist them with their families. I wonder if the trend with the elderly away in rest homes is the new form of institutionalism? The slick marketing with an elderly lady on her deck chair with her mocktail in hand and dog on her lap is sometimes quite far from the reality for many residents.
