“I was a teenager in the 80s and watched all these movies in the theater. To listen to these guys talk about these movies made me cringe. Every other word is “like” ugh! They barely have any life experience from where to draw. Looking at these movies from millennial eyes is a travesty. They couldn’t even say the word “rape” when speaking of the RAPE scene in Evil Dead! Do you need a safe space? That said, I agree that that scene was unnecessary. The response in the theater was wild. Total shock and nervous laughter. And., by the way, it was horror/campy. It was meant to scare you but first disarm you by making you laugh at absurdities. Dude!”
