Good for those seeking silliness
Been listening to this podcast for a while so I thought it was time to give a rating. I still do enjoy it for the most part… but I think their most recent “Throner Boner” podcast episodes have revealed that they lean a little heavy on their own fandom and expectations. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to hear fun people with passionate reactions to their favorite things (movies, TV shows, games etc) this is definitely for you. Light-hearts and lots of silliness all around. However, sometimes I like a deeper dive into the material and serious analysis rather than debating super out-of-this-world fan theories like “babies in stums.” Especially when it comes to Game of Thrones because it is honestly unlike any show I’ve ever seen where you get the best of both worlds: out-of-this-world fantasy combined with the gravitas of human emotions and conflict. It becomes a little too much silliness when they talk about their frustrations over something totally irrelevant to the action or event taking place or come up with crazy theories for the sake of being funny when there are much more interesting ideas and theories that could be discussed. I will continue to listen to their podcasts but avoid their “Throner Boner” episodes because they’re not really discussing it with thought analysis, just reaction, reaction, reaction and more reaction.

Love all you guys! I discovered you through the Woody Show, but I have to admit, I think I enjoy listening to Nerdin Out more than the Woody Show these days! The variety of topics is great; not really into video games but the Netflix and GOT talks are my faves. Miles was hilarious and definitely...Read full review »

Gotta love the fact that people aren’t going to lengths to explain their thought or theories about all that is nerd. This group is very simply a crew that loves all things nerd. Superheroes, wizards, movies, music ..... it basically a conversation of high school friends would have during a...Read full review »
