“The counselors of New Life Live are a relief from all the other "advice experts" of today's broadcast media. With Mr. Arterburn at the helm, the broadcast team of three-plus-Larry changes complexion every few days in order to best address the several types of concerns that listeners/viewers call in to discuss. Callers couldn't ask for an better educated, credentialed, cordial and compassionate group of experts to assess the problem(s) and suggest realistic answers to their questions. But here's the defining difference: Mr. Arterburn and crew are Biblically consistent in their point of view and their practical approach to the problem. This is what makes their advice so insightful and truly helpful - even if the situation as presented by a caller is extremely tough. I have never heard them put on airs about their successes or casually dismiss a question (even if the caller seems to have brought the trouble onto him- or herself.) They daily balance level-headed solutions with an empathy arising from their own past struggles. These are men and women who have known whereof they speak. When the situation is tragic, they have regarded the matter with reverence for God as well as the one who is suffering, acknowledging those times when we don't always understand the depths of this world's depravity and pain. When there is reason to rejoice, they do so with whole-hearted good humor...and sometimes a dumb joke. LOL. Great insight, great advice, great resources!”
