“Hal is a great interviewer. He never steps on his guests and always gives them the chance to wax eloquently about what brought them to the NYLP in the first place. Every time I listen to this podcast, I feel like my head fills with ideas about what I can do, who I can be, and how I can break the mold. That’s not the kind of broad, sweeping inspiration you might expect from a podcast, but it’s real. And that’s a testament as much to the guests as to Hal’s ability to get them to appear, be honest about their experiences, and reveal some secrets about their personalities, dispositions, ambitions and fears. Even if you’re not searching for purpose, you’ll find lots to love about NYLP. Hal’s enthusiasm for the subject matter and his guests is infectious. And I often find myself nodding along with his questions, as though I’m right there in the room with them, and Hal’s taken the words right out of my mouth.”
